What is pure water cleaning?
Where applicable, I clean exterior glass with a four-stage pure water system: sediment filtration, chloramine filtration, reverse osmosis, and deionization. This leaves essentially zero dissolved solids in the water. Pure water cleans better, rinses better, and leaves a spotless finish.

The glass exterior generally accumulates the most particle pollution, salt, and spotting. A classic window cleaning can leave good-looking results even on dirty or salty windows, but it doesn't offer near the volume of rinsing that a professional pure water system does. Traditional cleaning is almost like handwashing dishes with a lightly soapy sponge and then drying them off dirt, soap, and all without rinsing. If not dried promptly, this potentially leaves detergent residue which attracts new soil. Salt and other minerals can also be left behind, especially in the track. Rather than avoiding window frames for fear of hard water dripping on the clean glass, I intentionally clean and rinse them also. Keeping salt off of metal frames and components postpones corrosion. Tap water in West Hawaii is usually in the 400–500 TDS range, which is rather hard. This is why hard water spotting is prevalent here. My pure water system will not leave mineral deposit on the glass. Deionized water is also an exceptional cleaning agent because it is a magnet for the ions in the soil. Therefore, pure water cleaning requires minimal if any cleaning product, making it better for the windows and the environment.
